Evangelist John VanGelderen spoke on "A Way of Escape". Here are a few of his points: Everytime we are tempted in any way (ex. discouragement) He is there because He is in us. If discouraged, stop and see what is causing it and see it as a fiery dart from Satan and claim deliverance through Christ. Take our position and take his provision. He is the overcoming life Himself. It is Him NOT us. Say to Satan, "That is not me, I reject that feeling, thought, or attitude. Ephesians 1:19 (Connie Poorman gave a testimony concerning this last point. She was having a pity party and said those very words and she said the feeling of discouragement left her.)
